I started CLARITY DESIGNS out of my desire to create beautiful, comfortable handbags, with the ability to swiftly find needed items easily.

Less time looking, and more time living.

For years I searched for the perfect bag with no success. This inspired me to create easy to use handbags, that are attractive and durable.

I have been an artist all my life. My artistic mother taught me how to sew when I was a child. I grew up sewing clothing and bags. My mother was an art teacher, and taught me at an early age how to use my eye for designing and understanding structure. We loved to visit various Art Museums, which gave me an appreciation for historical artwork of many mediums.

Another passion of mine is  beadwork embroidery, which is a very detailed art form. In addition to creating jewelry, I have taught bead classes. I published the “Bead & String Reference Chart Poster Set”. It was a valuable reference tool that has helped students and bead artists to understand the materials needed for bead crafting. My beadwork has been published in major Beading Magazines.

Over the years, my experience creating, restoring, teaching, and selling beadwork has taught me to pay attention to details in design, structure, and function. This ability has enabled me to choose fabrics with beautiful colors, shapes, images, and durability, from fabrics created by specialty designers.

My interests now have turned to creating Clarity Handbags.

I draw a inspiration from my collection of fabrics, nature, various historical eras, and other artists, such as Gustave Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, Louis C. Tiffany, Vincent van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Peter Max and more.

Combining my design abilities and understanding what it takes to make a strong  functional, easy to use handbag brings my unique touch to all the bags I create.

Function and comfort are as important as being visually appealing.

When somebody sees one of my bags, I want them to smile. And when they see how the handbag works, they will smile even bigger.
